Lauren Coffaro, International Service Project
Lauren is originally from Pittsburgh and now works at a non-profit coordinating cultural exchange programs for foreign nationals in the U.S. She graduated cum laude with a B.A. of Communication from Northwestern University. Her interest in all things Rotary began at NU, where she joined Rotaract her freshman year and served as President her senior year. Her passion for intercultural exchange grew from her thirst for travel and a handful of both service and diplomacy based exchange experiences to places like Guayaquil, Cairo, Seoul, and Madrid. Lauren developed a love for empanadas and Malbec living abroad in Argentina, where she conducted ethnographic research on public performance and politics. Lauren loves cooking world cuisines, is an amateur runner/triathlete, and a proud fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers!
